BROWNSVILLE, TEXAS – The Brownsville Community Improvement Corporation (BCIC) is pleased to announce the appointments of a chairperson and three new members to the Board of Directors.

Traci Wickett, who previously served as the board’s Vice Chair, will now serve as the board’s Chairwoman. BCIC also welcomes and congratulates Linda Macias, Cesar Lopez and Murad Abusalim as the newest board members appointed by the City of Brownsville Commission.

Macias, Lopez, and Abusalim join board members Jill Dominguez, Zoraima Diaz, and Mark Horowitz in providing direction and leadership to BCIC’s strategic plan, goals and objectives.

“We are excited to welcome our newly appointed members to the BCIC Board of Directors,” said Josh Mejia, BCIC President & CEO.  “We are certain their experience and direction will be valuable to the board in helping BCIC achieve its mission of enhancing quality of life through innovative and equitable economic development initiatives,” Mejia said.
