BROWNSVILLE, Texas – Attention budding entrepreneurs in Brownsville. Are you a young adult aged 18-25 with a dream of starting your own business? If so, you might want to connect with the Frontera Leadership Institute.

The Frontera Leadership Institute is a free, three-month leadership program administered by nonprofit group LMNTS and sponsored by the Brownsville Community Improvement Corporation. It will be held the eBridge Center for Business & Commercialization in downtown Brownsville.

To learn more, the Rio Grande Guardian sat down for an interview at the eBridge with Ruben Cantu, founder of LMNTS. Cantu said the immersive 12-week program will equip budding entrepreneurs with the essential skills needed to start a business and lead a team.

“This immersive summer program will train you to think like a leader, start a business from scratch and learn product management. Our program is unique; we take a heart-centered approach to business. You will learn how to collaborate, handle ambiguity, and gain the necessary people skills to run or manage a successful business,” Cantu said.

“Hosted by LMNTS, our program is designed to empower the next generation of entrepreneurs. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn more.”

Cantu said the mission of the Frontera Leadership Institute is to foster transformation in students by educating, empowering and connecting leaders to guide their communities.

“We value inclusivity and hope to create a safe space where students feel confident to step into the world of rapid Innovation, regardless of who or where they come from,” Cantu said.

“And our three-month leadership program is completely free.”
